Frequently Asked Questions

Hiring a financial planner is a big decision, and you want to make sure that you do it right the first time.  Here are some of the questions you should be asking to make sure that you are choosing an advisor who will put your interests first, and specializes in working with clients like you.

A fiduciary advisor is someone who is expected to make decisions and recommendations that are in the best interest of their client regardless of the impact on the advisor. We believe this is the best and most honest way for a financial planner or advisor to work with clients. Working as a fiduciary you can feel confident that you are receiving the best advice and not have to worry that you are being directed into investments and financial products based on a higher sales commission for your advisor.

You’ve worked hard to become successful and get where you are today, so why should you hire someone to help you develop a financial plan rather than doing it yourself?

There are two main reasons why you should consider hiring us. The first is that we are passionate about helping you create a plan so that you can attain your goals and live a life that aligns with your values. But creating a plan to meet your goals is just one part of the picture, sticking to it and following through is another issue entirely. We are here to make sure that you follow through on your action items and to help you make adjustments when conditions change or challenges arise.

We get paid directly by you the client. Our clients pay us directly for financial planning and/or investment management. We don’t receive any sales commissions or payments from any other companies in order to incentivize us to direct you to buy their products.

Fee-only means that we are only compensated by the fees we receive from you, the client. We don’t get paid or receive sales commissions from anyone else. The combination of fiduciary and fee-only go hand in hand and we think, make for the best relationship between client and advisor. You can be sure that along every step of the way, We are looking out for your best interest and no one else’s.

Our first meeting is more of a get to know you session. We want to learn about your goals and challenges and what led you to make the decision to hire a financial planner.
